Oltenia Museum Craiova will organize, between June 30th and July 02nd , 2021, the Cultural-Tourist Conference of the project “New destinations in cross-border tourism”, project code e-MS ROBG-471.
The opening of the conference will take place on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021, starting at 12:00 a.m., at the Conference Hall at the headquarters of the Department of Natural Sciences from Str. Popa Șapcă nr. 8. On this occasion there will be a demonstration of the operation of the new interactive equipment from the Department of Natural Sciences (hologram, interactive totem, virtual assistant and interactive table) purchased by our institution within the cross-border project “New destinations in cross-border tourism” .
At the same time, during the 3 days of the conference, the 45 specialists, of which 24 from Bulgaria, will present the opportunities for cultural, academic and spa tourism in Craiova and Varshets.
The project “New destinations in cross-border tourism” (ROBG-471) is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Program, Priority Axis 2 – A green region,
Specific objective: 2.1 Improving the sustainable use of natural heritage and resources and cultural heritage.
The total budget of the project is 1,364,438.31 EUR, of which 1,159,772.56 EUR is the European Union funding through the European Regional Development Fund, 13% of the national budget and 2% of the local budget.
Of the total eligible value of the project, Oltenia Museum Craiova has the amount of 459,451.39 EUR.
The general objective of the project is to promote cooperation between institutions and people through the use of cultural and natural resources, in a sustainable tourist way, in Dolj – Montana cross-border region.
Partners in this project are the Municipality of Varshets, Montana (Leader) and Oltenia Museum Craiova.
